Jeff Pearlman is an adjunct professor at Salem State University As a regional geographer, he specializes in teaching courses such as Introduction to Geography, New England Geography, European Geography, The Geography of Canada, as well as the Geography of the United States.
Mr. Pearlman taught public school in Revere,MA. for 36 years and retired in 2005. He is committed to sharing his expertise with students as well as making them more informed about their geography, history and world affairs.
Since 1985, Pearlman has also taught history courses as an adjunct professor at Bunker Hill Community College in Charlestown, MA.
Jeff Pearlman is an active member in the Revere Society for Cultural and Historical Preservation. He often writes and lectures on local history and is concerned about saving historical buildings for future generations. He is also a member of the Colonial Society of Massachusetts and often attends lectures at the Massachusetts Historical Society.
Mr. Pearlman and his wife Marlene travel often. Jeff is a destination lecturer aboard cruise ships and enjoys giving talks to guests about the geography and history of the ports of call. Several of his power point presentations center around the theme of Maritime geography. Subjects such as Ancient and Modern Piracy, The U.S.S. Constitution, and Disasters at Sea have been popular among audiences. He and his lovely wife Marlene have cruised to the Caribbean, Northern Europe, Canada, Mexico, Alaska, and through the Panama Canal.
Mr. Pearlman is a member of the Peabody-Lynnfield Y.M.C.A.
