Professional Biography

Double Viking (BS ‘90, MBA ‘96), versatile and strategic senior marketing communications professional with over 25 years of experience. Expertise in developing and delivering impactful communications across various channels and platforms. Proven history of collaborating with key stakeholders to spearhead large- scale campaigns that elevate brand awareness, grow relationships, and contribute to organizational goals.

Responsibilities
  • Conceives and writes speeches for the president and all presidential talking points, and prepares the president for speaking engagements, often partnering with other campus liaisons.
  • Reviews, revises, and approves communications sent under the president’s signature by other campus partners.
  • Develops strategies and detailed communications plans to share important campus announcements to community populations including employees, students, alumni, and donors, and at times, with the news media.
  • Supports crisis communications efforts in partnership with the AVP, including strategic messaging, holding statements, releases, talking points, Q&A, and responds to media requests, including press conferences.
  • Writes, edits, and produces compelling content and disseminates campus-wide messages from the president and other members of university leadership.
  • Builds and maintains a library of subject-specific speaking points, collaborating with subject-matter experts to keep these remarks current, accurate and strategically aligned.
