Kelly joined the staff in July 2013 as the Associate Director of Athletics and Recreation and currently serves as the Director of Campus Life and Recreation. In this role, she is responsible for the administration, supervision, and development of a comprehensive fitness and recreation program along with oversight of co-curricular evening and weekend programming and special events to engage the campus community.

Prior to joining the staff at Salem State, Kelly worked as the Assistant Director of Recreational Sports and Fitness at American University from 2011-2013. She was responsible for the supervision of the day to day operations of the university fitness center as well as the satellite facilities. She worked to plan and deliver comprehensive fitness and wellness programming for the university community including educational seminars, wellness events, incentive programs, group exercise initiatives, instructional programs and specialized activities.

From 2008 – 2011, Kelly was the Fitness Coordinator at Longwood University in Farmville, VA. There, she coordinated the fitness and wellness, group exercise, personal training and powerlifting program areas in order to create comprehensive and diverse programming options for the university. She gained invaluable experience planning and implementing Wellness Fairs, collaborating with campus partners throughout Student and Academic Affairs, led health promotion programs for student groups and organizations, planned state-wide conferences, served as the marketing coordinator and chaired 5K race events.

Kelly is proud to have been a member of the Syracuse University Cross Country and Indoor and Outdoor Track and Field Teams.

Kelly holds various certifications in the fitness industry as an ACE Certified Group Fitness Instructor, ACSM Certified Personal Trainer and Pink Gloves Boxing Amateur and Pro Trainer. She is an active member of NIRSA, the professional organization for collegiate recreation professionals.

Kelly lives in Marblehead with her husband Mike, daughter Coley, and son Camden.
