Dr. Jeramie Silveira, OTD, MSOTR/L is a Professor and Chairperson of the Occupational Therapy Department at Salem State University, a position she has held for 21 years. She also serves as Director of the Center of Interprofessional Education and Collaboration.
In 2012, Dr. Silveira was appointed as a University Assessment Fellow, where she led initiatives to enhance university-wide assessment of student learning outcomes. Her scholarly contributions include published research on flipped classroom pedagogy and the integration of e-portfolio technology within occupational therapy graduate curricula.
Dr. Silveira is recognized nationally and internationally for her groundbreaking research on multisensory environments to reduce maladaptive behaviors in dementia patients and strengthen caregiver relationships. Her current research focuses on advancing interprofessional education and collaborative healthcare practices to improve team communication and patient outcomes.
